I cross through Canal St. a lot. This is one of my favorite things to see, I’ve always wondered where all the symbols came from.  There are some especially esoteric ones.

I caught a wonderful bit of graffiti on the way into Essex St.  Sometimes when the subway slows down you can catch something beautiful

I was just strolling through the 50th st. ACE subway station, and got transfixed at all the vertical  lines everywhere.  It was such a beautiful place when it was empty, like much of New York.
